Dear EEVS Neighbors,
Here we go again!
According to the Buncombe County Winter Weather Alert from today, January 29:
Beginning at 4pm Friday and through Saturday night, Buncombe County will be under a Winter Storm Watch, with an estimated 4-6 inches of snow possible for this weekend.
No significant impacts to power are expected at this time.
Here are the recommendations from Buncombe County:
The safest thing to do starting Friday evening is to stay home and off the roads.
While power outages are unlikely to occur, you should still have a plan for how you will stay warm should you lose power.
Make sure you have food and water for several days as the roads may be unsafe for an extended period of time.
Pull out the disaster kit one more time and check it over.
Visit www.buncombeready.org for preparedness tips and important numbers to call in bad weather.
Stay warm and safe! And check on your neighbors!
