East End/Valley Street Vendor Information

We regret to inform you that the East End/Valley Street Community Heritage Festival will be on hiatus until 2025. After much consideration and discussion among the organizing committee, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this beloved event.

The festival, which typically celebrates the rich heritage of Asheville's oldest African-American neighborhood, has been a source of joy and unity for our community. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges, we believe it's in the best interest of everyone involved to take this time to regroup and plan for an even more spectacular event in the future.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all who have supported the festival in the past, whether as volunteers, performers, vendors, or attendees. Your contributions have been invaluable in making the East End/Valley Street Community Heritage Festival a cherished tradition.

We understand that this news may disappoint many of you who eagerly anticipate the festival each year. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and we are committed to returning in 2025 with an event that honors our community's heritage in a meaningful and unforgettable way.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue supporting local events and initiatives that celebrate diversity, culture, and community spirit. Together, we can keep the spirit of the East End/Valley Street neighborhood alive until we can come together again for our beloved festival.

If you have already registered for the 2024 festival and have questions, please contact festival coordinator Connie Jefferson at (828)273-5967 or email FestivalEEVS@gmail.com.
