Soul Food Supper at Stephens-Lee

Celebrate Black history and culture at the Soul Food Supper on Thursday, February 19, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephens-Lee Community Center.

Hosted by Asheville Parks & Recreation in collaboration with the Stephens-Lee Association Alumni and the East End/Valley Street Neighborhood Association, this free event honors "A Century of Black History Commemorations". It highlights 100 years of national observances while recognizing the ongoing importance of Black life, history, and culture.

Event Highlights

  • Soul Food: Enjoy a menu featuring traditional favorites like fried chicken, fish, sweet potato pie, black-eyed peas, cornbread, and sweet tea.

  • Live Music: Featuring performances by the Virtuous Music Band.

  • Community Fellowship: A night of meaningful connection and celebration for all ages.
