Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop & Work Day

On Saturday, February 10, from 11 am to 2 pm, local ethnobotanist Marc Williams and Bountiful Cities Staff member Kelly Applegate will guide you in pruning fruit trees in the urban food forest. The location is 30 George Washington Carver Avenue, Asheville, with parking available at Stephens Lee Recreation Center. The day includes a park tour, a brief history overview, and hands-on activities focused on pruning and managing fruit trees. NC Extension Master Gardeners will provide soil test kits, publications, and examples of pruning tools. Bring gloves, water, and yourself! Snacks provided. Additional tools are welcome.
