The City of Asheville Street Department will be starting a Tree Removal/ Sidewalk Replacement Project on Monday March 27 in front of the ABC Store near the intersection of Biltmore Ave and Charlotte St. This project is expected to last about three weeks depending on weather and will remove and replace 5 trees and approximately 300 feet of sidewalk along Charlotte Street. This work will require daily lane closures and consistent sidewalk closure in the area outlined in the attached images. The City will be putting a "Sidewalk Closed Cross Here" sign at the corner of Beaumont Street and Charlotte Street. The ABC Store will still be accessible at all times.
